Chaos at state borders as refugees from NSW attempt to leave war zone

After declaring that NSW is at war with Covid-19, and ordering the entire state into lockdown, a humanitarian crisis is hitting the state borders as residents attempt to flee the warzone.

The daily clickbait has people on the ground, and spoke to Bolesław Ksawery Brzezicki, a polish immigrant who said that he and his mother are escaping because she still has nightmares about Nazi occupied Poland during World War 2, and she will note cope living in a warzone under the control of fascist dictators again.

“When my mother heard that NSW was at war, movement was restricted and uniformed personnel would be asking to see her movement papers, she went pale,” Mr Brzezicki said adding, “I have heard all of her stories about being under the control of a fascist dictator. My mother will not survive living through it again.”

Bolesław Ksawery Brzezicki on the border is one of millions attempting to flee the warzone.

Mr Brzezicki is one of millions of people who packed up basic belongings, abandoning all they know to escape the war. However, other states are afraid of ‘sleeper agents’ carrying Covid-19 across the borders, and will not permit anyone to cross the border. This has led to what the Red Cross and Amnesty International has described as the single worst humanitarian crisis in known history. Armed police are manning checkpoints on both sides of the borders to prevent anyone from crossing over, and are threatening to detain and question anyone who attempts to do so.

Meanwhile, across NSW, essential supplies are all but non-existent as looting has occurred in the war zone across the state. The United Nations is currently considering whether or not to do emergency air drops of toilet paper but is awaiting to find out from NSW Health if this is permitted under the emergency health orders.

The federal government is swinging into action to assist NSW, with Scott Morrison declaring that Bunnings is a Commonwealth essential service and is organising an emergency supply of puzzles and board games to keep NSW residents distracted when things like electricity are cut off due to non payment of bills as they will not be able to afford to live without the ability to earn an income.
